Parkway Realty recently discovered the Annual Paul Sweeney Coat Drive and decided to jump right in to help! Our team of agents joined forces to donate a number of winter coats to the Drive. Not only does this coat drive stay local, but it's also held in honor of a local man, Paul Sweeney.
According to Michelle Cleveland, Office Manager at Community National Bank, the Paul Sweeney Memorial Coat Drive has been going on for 19 years, except for 2020 or 2021, due to the pandemic. Paul Sweeney started the Coat Drive in December 2003 and unfortunately, passed away shortly thereafter.
"Thus far, we have received many donations. This partnership with Passumpsic Bank and Community National Bank has been critical to supporting outerwear needs, including blankets, for our community." said Diana Gibbs, NVRH VP Marketing and Community Health Improvement.
If you would like to donate a winter coat or two, there is still time! Donations are accepted until November 3 at the following collection sites: NVRH, Passumpsic Savings Bank (Lyndon, St. J & Danville Branches) as well as the Community National Bank (in Lyndonville & St. J)! The coat drive itself will take place at the Good Shepherd Catholic School on Maple Street, in St, Johnsbury on Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 am until 12 noon."
