My name is Denise Bigelow and I've lived in the Northeast Kingdom on and off my entire life. By on I mean, that I grew up here, graduated from high school here and married my husband here. By Off I mean that once we were married, my husband enlisted in the Army and throughout his 17 years of service we resided in locations such as Augsburg Germany, Aberdeen Maryland, and Atlanta, Georgia. Our beautiful daughter was born in Germany. Because we were a military family, and having experienced my husband completing 2 overseas combat tours, I've chosen to commit myself to supporting our Veterans. I accomplish that by being an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the American Legion, as well as an officer with the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. I'm also an active member of the Benevolent Protective Order Of Elks and assist with their Veteran's programs. Through these organizations I am able to volunteer and provide assistance to Veterans and their families.
